Call it a salad bar on steroids: Garden Bar Salad Co. brought the build-your-own-salad trend to Portland in February 2014. Locally owned by Ana Chaud and Christopher Handford, who also owns Davis Street Tavern, Garden Bar announced today in a news release that it has secured leases for two new locations, one at 100 SW Market on Park Square in Downtown and the other inside of the Hassalo on Eighth building at 1061 NE 9th Ave.

Garden Bar already has a forthcoming location in the works inside of the Postal Building at 510 SW Third Ave, and Chaud and Handford expect all three new spots to be up and running this fall. In the press release, they also say they ultimately have plans to open 15 Garden Bar locations in five years.

Maintaining the fast and casual vibe, Garden Bar Park Square will be the first location to add raw cold-pressed juices and locally crafted beer and wine to the menu. The Garden Bar in Hassalo on Eighth will be the company's first Eastside location. Currently, Garden Bars operate in the Pearl and Old Town.
