The new location will take over the former Pastini's space.

The pending Lardo lawsuit isn't going to slow Rick Gencarelli down. The man behind LardoGrassa, and the forthcoming West End beer bar tentatively named Beer Belly is on a roll, and the O announced Gencarelli is opening a second Grassa at 1506 NW 23rd Ave., a block from St. Jack, in what was formerly a Pastini Pastaria. A partnership with ChefStable, Grassa opened in 2013 to bring counter service and Italian pastas for between $8 and $14. The new Grassa will have roughly twice as much seating as the West End location and, for the most part, will offer the same menu of antipasti, pastas, wines, beers, and cocktails. No opening date has been announced, so stay tuned.
