Right now, House Spirits Distillery is a game changer. In November, it opened the largest distillery in the Pacific Northwest at 65 SE Washington St., and now it's poised to open the world's only airport tasting room operated by a distillery. Here's what to expect.
House Spirits has confirmed with Eater it will serve $1 tastes of its line of spirits, which include the flagship Aviation American Gin, and it will also offer flights of mini cocktails modeled on the flights in its Southeast tasting room. The Southeast tasting room currently serves flights of four regularly changing mini cocktails for $10.
Of course, airports have their own pricing rules, but many Portland International Airport dining options maintain prices similar to their Portland-proper restaurants, so you can probably expect flights for around $10. Additionally, House Spirits will offer retail sales of its line of spirits, along with barware and other spirited products. Right now, House Spirits aims to open its PDX airport location near gate C in October 2016.
