Tonight, Shift Drinks is hosting the #raiseaglasstojason benefit for Multnomah Whiskey Library bartender Jason Carlisle, from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m., at 1200 SW Morrison. Community support is pouring in from all sides. Carlisle has refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and a bone marrow transplant may be his final option. The benefit will feature drinks, Jackknife bartender Justin Diaz as DJ, and much more, and all of tonight's proceeds, including tips, go toward Carlisle's procedure. Just show up and offer a donation at the door in exchange for drink tickets—the more you give, the more drink tickets—and then prepare for a very special night.
You'll find many of the city's top bartenders donating their time behind the bar, and these include Alise Moffatt and Beau Burtnick (Shift Drinks), Lucas Plant and Daniel Osborne (Bull In China), Jordan Felix and Adam Wyatt-Jones (Multnomah Whiskey Library), and Tyler Stevens and Tony Contreras (Teardrop Lounge). Get ready for hefty pours, too, as all of the liquor, beer, and wine producers below have donated to the fundraiser. Also, you might win some awesome stuff, and there will be two raffles: one for a two-night stay at Seattle's Hotel Max, and one for a VIP tour for 20 at Seattle's 2Bar Spirits' Distillery. Raffle tickets cost $5 each.
If you can't make it tonight, you can still donate to help Jason Carlisle through the YouCaring Compassionate Crowdfunding website.
