One of the oldest restaurants in Portland has successfully survived losing its lease and a legal battle to keep its name, and tomorrow, Besaw's will reopen after being closed for eight months. Owner Cana Flug tells Eater the new Besaw's will feature lots of custom work, with custom wallpaper and light fixtures, and as the pictures show, Besaw's will have an open kitchen and a huge bar in the center of the room with seating on three sides.
Beginning tomorrow, Besaw's will serve brunch and dinner seven days a week. Monday through Friday, it will serve brunch from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday it will serve brunch from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dinner will be served 5 to 10 p.m. nightly.
