Another day and another new John Gorham restaurant—as Gorham announces Shalom Y'all, a second new restaurant concept planned for the forthcoming Pine Street Market. Believe it or not, Shalom Y'all is the eighth restaurant from the Gorham crew, and for this project, Gorham has teamed up with chef Kasey Mills and partner Ron Avni.
Mills helped Gorham open Toro Bravo and is executive chef and co-owner of Mediterranean Exploration Company, and at Shalom Y'all, he's serving up vegetable-forward Israeli cuisine, like falafel, salads, and hummus platters with house-made pita. Breakfast will be a big deal, too, so expect Gorham's popular shakshuka, the Israeli egg-and-tomato breakfast dish. Drinks announced include American whiskeys infused with Middle Eastern herbs and spices, barrel-aged Arak, Lebanese and Israeli beers, and wines from Turkey, Italy, and France—all curated by the Mediterranean Exploration Company drinks team.
As for the decor, Shalom Y'all will resemble Mediterranean Exploration Company, with Gorham and his crew completing the buildout. It will have seating for six, in addition to Pine Street Market's communal seating. Right now, Shalom Y'all aims to open April 18 inside Pine Street Market at 126 SW 2nd Ave.
