Word came today by press release that Tilt will open its third Portland location inside of the massive Yard building, soon to be anchoring the east side of the Burnside Bridge. Tilt is known as a working man and woman's cafeteria, serving house-made biscuits, signature burgers, sandwiches, fried chicken, and other upgraded staples for upgraded prices. Portland locals Octavian and Brittany Jurj opened their first Tilt in Portland in 2012.
The new Tilt will occupy 4,000 square feet inside of the 21-story Yard building, and it will be located beside Burnside Skatepark and face Northeast 2nd Avenue. No changes have been announced regarding Tilt's food and drink offerings, and the projected opening is summer 2016. Tilt had originally planned to open in E. Burnside's RJ Templeton building, but that deal fell through when Tilt received an eviction notice.
