Opened all the way back in 2001, Detour Cafe, located at 3035 SE Division, will close for good February 14, 2016. Owners Rebecca Doggett and Scott Krombein announced the news on Detour's website this week. Fans of the cafe's build-your-own skillets and frittatas may not have to mourn, as the owners says they'll add some of Detour's most beloved menu items to the menu at their second restaurant, Ford Food and Drink, located at SE 11 Avenue and Division. Here's the full message from the owners:
After 15 wonderful years, we have decided that our last day of business at Detour Cafe will be Sunday, February 14, 2016.
We want to thank all of the lovely people who have come through these doors over the years. Detour Cafe has been a beautiful experience and we look forward to continuing the many friendships we have made here.
We also plan to continue making friends, and good food, right down the street at our sister cafe, Ford Food and Drink, at SE 11th and Division. Look for some Detour favorites to appear on the menu there soon!
Please don't be sad that we are moving on...be joyful that we had this time together. We will always treasure it!
Peace and love,
Becky and Scott.
