Watch Bong Appetit’s Newest Episode Featuring Noble Rot’s Leather Storrs

Cook for the flavor, not the high

Host Abdullah Saeed hangs with Portland’s Ganja Jon

“Leather, you’re really using cannabis more as like a culinary ingredient rather than an intoxicant,” says Bong Appetit host Abdullah Saeed, seemingly very impressed, while eating hemp stock-smoked bacon and mac and cheese finished with grapeseed oil that’s been infused with the Wonder Woman marijuana strain. In the show’s latest episode, released yesterday, Bong Appetit comes to Portland for a marijuana meal with Leather Storrs, chef and co-owner of Noble Rot on East Burnside. "It's a nice way to come back to the flavor of the herb," says Storrs.

Interested in exploring the crossroads of food and what’s almost certainly Oregon’s favorite herb? Watch the full episode of Bong Appetit below. In addition to hanging with Storrs, Saeed visits Ganja Jon’s weed farm and partakes in comedy night at the NW Cannabis Club.

Bong Appetit is part of Vice Magazine’s video venture, Munchies, and the series seems to love Portland. This spring, it caught up with former P.R.E.A.M. pizzialo and current head chef at Associated, Nick Ford, to make marijuana pizza.
