Last year, after 18 years of business, downtown's Southpark seafood restaurant updated its menu with many new dishes, such as a spicy octopus salad with watermelon and seaweed and Rye Tagliatelle with pork ragu bianco and bone marrow (see the new lunch and dinner menus below). And this Monday, February 29, it is launching the first of two major remodels.
Southpark's bar and lower dining room will be closed starting Monday, but the main dining room will remain open for business as usual. The bar revamp will expand the bar and bring booth seating along one side of the room. The mural behind the bar will be removed, and when it reopens, the bar will serve updated drinks, focusing on classic cocktails "with a twist," and offer its own bar menu, in addition to the restaurant menu. Southpark tentatively expects the bar area to reopen April 4.

On April 7, Southpark plans to kick off the second stage of the remodel: a new oyster and raw bar located at the front of the dining room. This new seating area brings a large oyster selection, plus new dishes from the raw bar, such as Albacore Tuna Crudo. Right now, Southpark expects all of the construction to be over and to reopen completely remodeled on May 6.
Haven't been to the restaurant since the menu expansion? Here are recent Southpark lunch and dinner menus.
