Bravo's Top Chef television show calls Portland-area chefs to try out for Season 14. To respond to the casting call, get moving and request an appointment asap by emailing topchefcasting@magicalelves.com. Tryouts will be held at Departure, located inside of the Nines Hotel at 525 SW Morrison, this Monday, February 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Gregory Gourdet—who, if you don't know who he is and you're trying out for Top Chef, you should be worried—will oversee this Monday's casting, according to the O.
Can't make it? You can find more info on applying by video on the Bravo website.
Top Chef hasn't feature a Portland chef since Gourdet and Imperial's Doug Adams pretty much dominated Top Chef Season 12. Gourdet won a Quickfire or Elimination challenge or both in all of the first five episodes, either individually or as a member of a team. Adams was eliminated late in the game only to come back for the finale after winning Last Chance Kitchen. Neither Gourdet or Adams won Top Chef Season 12—that honor went to Los Angeles's Mei Lin for her slew of smoking-hot finale dishes—so Portland chefs have something to fight for: to become the first Portland chef to take the title of Top Chef.
