SE DIVISION—Garden Bar, the rapidly expanding build-your-own salad restaurant that just opened a new downtown location in January, will take over the former Son of a Biscuit space at SE Division & 20th. Owners Ana Chaud and Christopher Handford tell Eater they're hoping to be up and running by early March, if not sooner. The new location will be Garden Bar's fourth location—all of which are in Portland, so far. [EaterWire]
SOUTHEAST—Clyde Common, Olympia Provisions, and Richmond Bar co-owners Nate Tilden and Martin Schwartz have filed a liquor license for a new bar named Casa Vale. WWeek first reported the news, announcing that the bar will be located at 215 SE 9th Ave.—the same building that houses Biwa and Simpatica. Tilden also co-owns Spirit of '77 and Pepe Lo Moko, and Schwartz also co-owns Free House Bar. Eater has reached out for details, so stay tuned. [WWeek]
