WILLAMETTE VALLEY—One of Willamette Valley's most popular wineries, WillaKenzie Estate, is adding food to the repertoire this summer: Beginning Memorial Day, May 28, a different food truck will serve food at the winery every Saturday and Sunday, and so far, Phat Cart, Tamale Boy, Big Tony Brown BBQ, 3 Guys Grilling, and La Arepa PDX are confirmed. EAST BURNSIDE—The Tannery Bar is expanding, adding a covered garden patio with seating for 30 to 50 and expanding the size of its kitchen and other areas of the restaurant. It's launched a crowdsourcing campaign on Chroma Fund with shares at $10 each, and you can check it out here. [EaterPDX]
SOUTHEAST—At Castagna, 2016 James Beard award finalist Justin Woodward is joined by a new sous chef, Kyle Bartholomew, who spent the past three years at The Willows Inn on Lummi Island, a Washington restaurant famous for its hyper-local island cooking and headed by 2015 James Beard Best Chef Northwest, Blaine Wetzel. Does this mean urban foraging? Stay tuned. [EaterWire]
