Expatriate, the sexy bar with an Asian-American vibe from James Beard Award-winner Naomi Pomeroy and Kyle Linden Webster, is about to launch brunch. According to PoMo, the new daylight hours (10 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekends) begin March 19, and for those already familiar with the overwhelmingly celebrated brunch at Beast, Expatriate's brunch will take you into uncharted territory.
Expatriate hasn't released its full brunch menu, but it is expected to include around seven dishes and a handful of breakfast cocktails. Like the bar's vibe—a sort of carousing on a rickshaw boldness—the food will have an Asian bent, with a focus on Chinese dishes turned into American classics—a congee porridge served with poached eggs, and a breakfast burrito involving shrimp paste and kimchi; Expatriate's Burmese Coconut Noodles, and its already renowned nachos.
Expatriate doesn't accept reservations, so when things kick off Saturday, March 19, best to arrive early.
