Verdigris's French-Inspired Brunch Is Moving to Six Days a Week

Brunch is seriously on at the French restaurant by the former executive chef of Brasserie Montmartre

Brunch at Verdigris isn't just for weekends anymore: The French-inspired restaurant on NE Fremont will expand brunch to six days a week—Tuesday through Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.—beginning May 31.

Along with expanded hours, owner and chef Johnny Nunn (Brasserie Montmartre, Ringside Fish) will add new lunch dishes to the weekday menu (think salads, sandwiches, and a pasta du jour).

Verdigris regularly updates its brunch menu with the seasons, but you can expect to find a couple standbys, like Duck Fat Fried Hash Browns, served with brown butter hollandaise, and Smoked "Pastrami" & 60 Minute Eggs, served with cippolini onions, sauerkraut, rye croutons, and Russian hollandaise.

A few of the other dishes on the menu right now:

  • House Made Ricotta Pancakes - Blackberry-Maple Compote, Pecans, Chantilly
  • Shrimp Po' Boy Sandwich - Soft Roll, Cajun Aioli, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Pommes Frites
  • House Brioche Croque Madame - Smithfield Ham, Gruyere, Sauce Mornay, Fried Egg, Pommes Frites
  • Baked Apples - Currants, Pie Crumble

Verdigris opened December 2014, and its brunch has received positive reviews from WWeek and the Mercury. Hit up the website to make brunch reservations.
