The second location of Alberta's Stella Taco opens today at 3060 SE Division St., and you know what that means: Discounts. Happy hour prices are available all day today, May 13, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Find $2 street tacos and $1-off margaritas and draft beers.
Stella Taco makes Austin-style tacos and says the heart of the Austin taco is a "thoughtful" garnish, designed to draw out the flavors of the taco filling. It makes sense in practice: Scrambled eggs with shredded brisket come topped with warm queso, and chorizo is paired with avocado creme. Stella Taco on Division will serve the same menu of breakfast, lunch, kid-friendly, vegetarian, and meatetarian tacos as its Alberta counterpart.
Because owners Ian and Becky Atkins know brutal summer sun, having relocated from Texas to Portland, they're bringing creative margaritas, some in frozen form (some again in that "Austin-style," with a baby Corona upturned in them). Flavors include Lemon Ginger Rye, Hibiscus Lavender, and Jalapeño, and other drinks include Mexican beers, Portland craft brews, and wines made for Stella by Oregon winery, Viola Wine Cellars.
Starting today, Stella Taco on Division will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
