After opening two biked-pedaled carts, Moberi is going brick and mortar to serve its vitamin-packed smoothies and bowls. Moberi opens at 1876 SW 5th Ave., near Portland State University, tomorrow, May 20, and it's giving away Acai Bowls from 3 to 5 p.m., with free smoothie samples pouring all day, while supplies last, according to the Facebook event page. The grand opening kicks off at 11 a.m.

Rather ingeniously repurposing the bicycle, owner Ryan Carpenter built Moberi's reputation on blending smoothies with bike power, which means that you can hop on and pedal-blend your smoothie yourself or have one of the Moberi crew do it for you. Smoothies range from berry, to protein, to superfoods, and its bowls—all beginning with an acai or dragon fruit base—feature the usual suspects, like fresh fruit, granola, and honey.

After tomorrow, the Moberi brick and mortar will be open daily, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
