The RiverPlace Hotel has promoted chef de cuisine Lauro Romero to executive chef. Romero will be in charge of the menus both at the waterfront restaurant, Three Degrees Restaurant, and their popular, summertime al fresco counter spot, TD's Pop Up, which will fire up the grill for the grand opening today, May 27.
The 10-seat pop-up is returning with a ‘Tacos & Tequila' theme. It will be open through Memorial Day Weekend, before settling into its regular operating hours: Wednesday through Sunday, from noon to 8 p.m.
Chef Lauro is bringing a fresh, authentic lineup of tacos and appetizers to the menu of Mexican street fare, along with a few cocktails. Early favorites include the tequila-braised pork belly taco and frijoles charros with pork cracklings. All the food is priced between $2 and $6.
