Taking over the former Pizza Maria spot at 3060 SE Division St., Stella Taco's second location is about to start serving its Austin-style tacos, and you can see inside now in the colorful shots above. Stella Taco will be soft opening next week, and the official grand opening is Friday, May 13. Show up anytime between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. opening day to give the menu a whirl for happy hour prices.
Similar to the Alberta location, Stella Taco on SE Division is neon and turquoise friendly—as well as family friendly—and offers counter service. You'll find communal tables, but it has a number of two tops, so expect some privacy while inhaling those street tacos topped with fried avocado. Other additions include white marble counters and an Austin street art-inspired mural of the name "Stella" done by local muralists.
Add to all this some outdoor seating, and the new Stella Taco is doing its part to make SE Division a taco hotspot. Starting May 13, Stella Taco will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
And SE Division really is becoming stuffed with tacos. Stella joins places like Nuestra Cocina, Xico, and Mi Mero Mole that are already there, and Nate Tilden's Honky Tonk Taco should be taking over Andy Ricker's Sen Yai early this summer. Add in the food carts, like the long-standing Lindo Michoacan, and other taquerias, and SE Division will make one hell of a taco crawl location this summer.
