SOUTHEAST—Russian hotspot Kachka has just expanded its happy hour food menu, available daily from 4 to 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. to midnight. New dishes include pickle soup (Kachka dubs it Russian Gatorade); the Slava's Drinking Board, with pickles, cured meats, cheese, and other drinking snacks; and a caviar and egg salad serve on rye grenki. Some of these new dishes are only available during happy hour. [EaterWire]

THE PEARL DISTRICT—The bagel shop dedicated to New York-style bagels, Bowery Bagels is diversifying its offerings, with a new lineup of the old school staples you're likely to find in any East Coast bakery. Bowery now makes marble rye, black and white cookies, and knishes, an Eastern European snack of pillows of dough stuffed with onion and potato. [EaterWire]

OREGON CITY—The breweries around Oregon City are quickly gaining prominence in the Portland beer scene, and as proof, the Tap Trail Craft Pass launched this June. Buying it costs $20 and gets you $5 worth of beer at each of the nine breweries in the area. This certainly seems like a solid deal, but it depends on how dedicated you are: Breweries like Feckin Irish Brewing and Oregon City Brewing are in close proximity, but it's a 30 minute drive to Fearless Brewing in Estacada. Passes sold here. [EaterWire]
