This just in: Mika Paredes (formerly Beast) and Tommy Habetz (Bunk) will hold their first Girls Club pop-up in the Pizza Jerk garden (located right behind the restaurant) Sunday, June 5. Paredes tells Eater it'll be a soft opening, with things kicking off at 8 p.m., and it'll be on the informal side, so expect something close to a casual garden party thrown by Patti Smith and Arthur Russell: a touch of punk with a side of disco—plus a whole lotta meat.
Girls Club will serve what it calls The Ozersky Burger, named after the iconic food writer Joshua Ozersky, whom Paredes worked closely with in recent years to host Meatopia, the all-meat-all-the-time food festival. Paredes tells Eater Girls Club is asking a suggested donation of $6 for the burger; $3 for beer; and $8 for wine, "or whatever." Cash only.
Girls Club doesn't have a website, only Instagram, and here's the informal Facebook invite. Looking for more details? Maybe call Pizza Jerk?
