As most of you already know, "getting crushed" is kitchen for "having your ass handed to you."
At Nomad.PDX, the budding brick-and-mortar pop-up, the kitchen is fixing to turn the tables on you, the dining customer, by "crushing" you with its new walk-ins-only Friday, Saturday, and Sunday late-night menu.
Ryan Fox and Ali Matteis' weekend late-night menu plans to overwhelm you with a casual roster of eats that take aim at your nostalgic sweet spot, so expect to six-course meals that will include a salad, a soup, a sandwich board, some pasta, a main, and a dessert.
The seasonal menu will change frequently, but it will always cost you just $40 a pop—a price far lower than Nomad's more ambitious 15- to 20-course $110 meals.
You can gobble up Nomad's late night menu at their temporary pop-up space at KitchenCru (337 NW Broadway) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Stay tuned for more information on Nomad's upcoming Kerns neighborhood brick-and-mortar. In the meantime, here's a peek at this weekend's late-night eats.
