On Thursday, former Oven and Shaker bartender Steven Sirok will unveil the new cocktail menu he's designed for his new gig at the swank, dimly lit Driftwood Room, tucked inside Goose Hollow's Hotel deLuxe.
Sirok took the reigns at the bar earlier this summer, and has spent the last couple of months tinkering with the drinks menu to showcase more locally distilled spirits and to bring the bar program into the 21st century while maintaining the bar's decidedly mid-century vibe.
The Driftwood will still showcase its roster of champagne cocktails, but Sirok's new menu now features a no-twist-no-fuss properly made Old Fashioned, the Aviation Gin-based Self Starter (with Lillet and Stone Barn Brandyworks apricot liqueure) and a quaff called the Saffron Blonde, mixed with saffron-infused Sub Rosa vodka, lemon juice, strawberry-cucumber syrup, and cracked black pepper.
Drop by for a sip at 2 p.m., Thursday, when the new Driftwood Room cocktail menu goes live.
