LAURELHURSTFifty Licks started as a food cart in 2010, and now it has a brick and mortar on SE Clinton and is opening another, this one at 2742 E Burnside St. across the street from the Laurelhurst Theater. Expect Fifty Licks 2.0 to begin serving its eggy, small-batch ice creams and intensely creamy sorbets mid-August. Do not skip those sorbet cocktails when they're on offer. [PoMo]

ALBERTA—One of the city's most beloved punk rock bars and concert venues, The Know is preparing to close November 30, so get in there for one or two last circle pits. The Know said its rent went up 150 percent, and in true punk style, declared the Alberta neighborhood has gone to the "yuppies" who would prefer "a boutique salt shop" to an old school music venue. [WWeek]

SOUTHEASTTournant has hosted many of the city's hottest pop-ups, since opening its bright and airy multi-used culinary event space in April, and now the venue will be home to its own popular pop-up, Oyster Social, at least once a month. The next one on the books is July 23 with Indian-food-sensation Thali Supper Club. See Tournant's events page for details. [EaterWire]
