HAWTHORNE—After 21 years of serving Middle Eastern and Indian dishes, Bombay Cricket Club will close its doors at 1925 SE Hawthorne Blvd. on August 31. Making the announcement on Facebook, owners Karim and Sherri Ammad thanked their supportive customers and said they're retiring. [Oregonian]
SOUTHWEST WATERFRONT—Koi Fusion appears to be opening a sort of food cart food hall inside of a huge bar. After shuttering its SE Division brick and mortar earlier this month, the Korean-Mexican-fusion restaurant is opening Cart Lab in the former Lil Cooperstown space (the 1831 SW River Dr. venue stretched 7,000 square feet when Lil Cooperstown leased it). Along with 20 taps and a sports theme, Cart Lab will house four food cart businesses, and so far, Koi Fusion and PDX Sliders have been confirmed. [WWeek]
SOUTHEAST—The Wild Hunt, the second food cart by the team behind Viking Soul Food, is on the move. Megan Walhood tells Eater The Wild Hunt has left its spot in front of the Teutonic urban winery. For the coming weeks, it'll serve its Northern European dishes at Newberg's Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery. [EaterPDX]
