The historic venue home to storied Brasserie Montmartre since 1978 has a new lease on life, in the form of the Bardot wine and beer bar and Park Ave Wines wine shop. Both quietly opened August 12 and are centrally located downtown at SW Park and Morrison. While Park Ave offers regularly scheduled wine tastings and a large retail bottle selection, Bardot serves wines and "obscure and delicious fermented beverages from every corner of the globe," with a menu of small plates.
Inspired by the "60s sexiness" of actress Brigitte Bardot, Bardot is designed to be a place to start your night, and the staff are trained to offer dining recommendations in the surrounding area for those looking to extend the evening. According to The O, the wine bar will pour "local wines, beers, cider, and fortified wines in a marble and wood-outfitted room" and serve "snacks" like "an array of cheeses, hand-sliced Iberico ham, small plates such as fresh burrata with sour cherry, toasted focaccia and olive oil caviar and butter lettuce with crispy pancetta, apple and dill."
Bardot and Park Ave Wines are now open at 626 SW Park Ave. Bardot operates daily from 4 to 10 p.m., and Park Ave is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
