The Oregonian scoop maestro Michael Russell dropped massive news this morning: BravoTV Top Chef finalist, former Imperial executive chef, and overall Portland chef royalty, Doug Adams, is opening Bullard Restaurant downtown inside of the forthcoming Woodlark hotel, coming from Provenance Hotels and NBP Capitol. Details are still scant, but the news settles one thing: Adams isn’t leaving Portland — and by the sounds of things, he isn’t even considering it.

To be located inside of the new “lifestyle hotel” at SW 9th Avenue and Alder Street, Bullard will be open for lunch and weekend brunch (plus offer room service). Adams says he’s currently planning to serve a version of his beloved fried chicken and also has his eye on doing barbecue. The O writes:

The restaurant, named for Adams' tiny hometown in East Texas, will draw inspiration from Adams' Texas upbringing, his college years in Montana, and his Oregon home.

These are the details for now. Prepare for Bullard to throw open the doors fall 2017.
