Today, the founders of the upcoming Wayfinder brewery have announced that they will open the door to the public this Saturday at 11 a.m.
Wayfinder is a collaboration between Charlie Devereux (Double Mountain), Matthew Jacobson (Sizzle Pie) and pit boss Rodney Muirhead (Podnah’s Pit).
The 110-seater will eventually use a 10-barrel brewing system to craft German and Czech-style lagers and other beers. It’ll also feature a patio that will seat an additional 100 guests.
On the food side, Muirhead has designed American comfort classics to pair with suds, including prime rib and beer cheese sandwiches, homemade sausages and house-smoked pastrami.
When beer production is in full swing, Wayfinder will be brewing as many as 7,500 barrels of beer each year under the guidance of former Firestone Walker brewer Kevin Davey. In the meantime, expect to pair your lunch and dinner offerings with beers from Baerlic, Breakside and Widmer Bros.
Stay tuned for a peak inside Wayfinder later this week.
Wayfinder: 304 SE 2nd Ave.; Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays
