Good news for Kerns residents. You’ll soon be snacking on eats from a popular Mexican-inspired restaurant that’s almost as famous of its chicken-dripped sides as it is for its juicy rotisserie birds.
According to Wade Shelton, who co-owners Concordia’s Pollo Norte restaurant with his brother, Kelly, and their friend, Ryan Gibson, Kerns residents could be eating those same rotating birds in their own neighborhood by mid-October.
When we caught up with Shelton by phone, he told us that the new space’s menu will stick to its familiar bird, potato, beans, and slaw staples that made their first restaurant such a hit.
However, because the kitchen’s far larger than their original kitchen, Shelton says the team will be able to play around with daily chalkboard specials that, if embraced, could be brought up from the minor leagues to star on the regular menu.
The 30-seat space will offer a small selection of cocktails, and will feature an additional 30 seats outside, as well as motorcycle delivery.
Stay tuned.
