Mead Market’s Holding Its Grand Opening On Hawthorne This Weekend

Attend this weekend’s grand opening celebration and walk away with growlers, T-shirts and bee houses

For years, DIY beekeepers Matt Reed and Jill McKenna have been helping aspiring bee keepers by providing them with resources and gear via their online business Bee Thinking.

Earlier this summer, they opened Mead Market, Portland’s only mead-only mead bottle shop and tasting room, where you can find 100 different varieties of mead, as well as the opportunity to walk through mead-making classes.

Since then, the finishing touches have been put on the shop, hence the party.

Swing by this weekend and walk away with swag like T-shirts, growlers and bee houses for your yard. It goes down on both Saturday and Sunday, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Mead Market: 1744 SE Hawthorne Blvd., 503-477-7205
