The Hollywood neighborhood has taken some hits of late, with the closing of Pono Farm Soul Kitchen and temporarily fire-shuttered Reo’s Ribs. When Atomic Pizza announced it would move out of its space adjacent to Hollywood Theatre, it seemed the neighborhood also lost a go-to pizza option. But Sizzle Pie is here to save the day.
Known for both meat-topped and vegan pizzas and slices — plus, that time they served mammoth 18-inch slices — Sizzle Pie will move into the venue at 4144 NE Sandy Blvd., assistant director of operations Mikey Williams tells Eater. It hopes to open on Halloween. Sizzle Pie Hollywood will serve as a neighborhood pizzeria, with a few seats and standing room on-site, and furnish slices for theatre goers. It will also offer takeout and delivery.
Will the Hollywood Theatre’s “pie hole” still be in effect? Absolutely, says Williams.
But unlike other Sizzle Pie locations, the new spot won’t serve liquor, just beer and wine (theater goers can choose from the Theatre’s full drink menu, of course). Once open, the pizzeria will operate Sunday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m., and Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m.
