Breakout Sandwich Shop Stacked Now Does Brunch

Quickly earning a reputation for its deft updates to classic sandwiches — especially that French dip with ox tail —Stacked Sandwiches adds Saturday brunch this weekend, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Like Stacked’s sandwiches, expect the unexpected, like the Italian Breakfast, with two eggs baked in Stacked’s marinara sauce, with meatballs, truffled cheese, and garlic toast.

Stacked bakes its breads in-house, and this explains all the pastries: baked apple cider doughnuts to coffee crumb cake. Check out the entire menu below.

And the shop has sweetened the pot with two more additions. Saturday is all-day happy hour, and Stacked’s also teaming up with some of Portland’s biggest chefs for a guest dish. To kick things off, Castagna executive chef Justin Woodward — known for his technical, modernist cooking — is doing a BREAKFAST BURRITO. It features tomatillo verde and chili d’arbole rojo salsas, bacon, cheddar, pico de gallo, eggs, and potatoes.

November features Naomi Pomeroy of Beast, and December brings Gregory Gourdet of Departure.
