Taking over the Beaumont neighborhood venue of recently relocated Daruma Sushi, Little Griddle is a new breakfast and brunch cafe serving egg Benedicts, biscuit sandwiches, and grain bowls at 3520 NE 42nd Ave. Little Griddle is owned by Yossel Gyorgak and Judd Harris, and it is their first restaurant; the partners met while working at one of Portland’s go-to brunch stops, Jam on Hawthorne.
Harris, who serves as head chef, tells Eater Little Griddle will have a “heavy” vegetarian focus, with polenta bowls, shakshuka, and a seasonal, fruit-stuffed breakfast salad. But as the menu below shows, Little Griddle still delivers the bacon.
Little Griddle fired up over the weekend, and the 600-square-foot spot seats 25. Little Griddle offers traditional waiter service and will operate Wednesday through Monday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The restaurant doesn’t have a website or phone number yet, but its Instagram is up and running.
Take a look at the opening-day menu and cute, dog-friendly logo below. Note Little Griddle also serves coffee by Portland Roasting Coffee and mimosas.
