The burgers and loaded fries will begin flying at PDX Sliders on D-Street today, the very popular burger restaurant’s second location (previously home to Sunshine Tavern). With seating for around 45, the casual PDX Sliders Division offers counter service like its Sellwood-Moreland sister restaurant, as well as mostly the same menu. For now.
PDX Sliders Division serves towering sliders and full-sized burgers named after Portland neighborhoods; a fleet of chicken, pork, and veggie sandwiches; salads; kids meals; and truffled and loaded fries. The Division spot has a full bar, focused on boilermaker specials and margaritas.
Owner Ryan Rollins tells Eater he hopes to add new menu items down the road, like a “Ramen Fried Chicken” slider with smoked kimchi, a hot-pressed Italian grinder, or a kobe beef Philly cheesesteak.
The restaurant began as a food cart, steadily building its reputation by winning local food competitions and then slaughtering the national competition on Yelp. It furnished the food at Ancestry Brewing’s Sellwood taproom and operated out of Koi Fusion’s short-lived Cart Lab, before establishing its first brick and mortar in January 2017.
PDX Sliders Division is its first centrally located brick and mortar. See inside in the photos below. It opens today at 11 a.m. at 3111 SE Division St., and will operate daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
