There’s a new veggie burger in town. According to its official Facebook, Heart Bar quietly opened this week and is now serving an all-vegan menu centered on signature burgers, loaded fries, and bowls at 1125 SE Division St. See the full opening-day menu below.
Heart Bar comes from a team including Sanjay Chandrasekaran, owner of the popular Indian vegan micro-restaurant the Sudra, and Sean Sigmon, the opening chef at Harvest in the Bindary. It takes over the former home of beloved vegan eatery Portobello Vegan Trattoria.
All of the burgers at Heart Bar feature the same house-made combination of black lentils, vegetables, pearl barley, and spices. They come in a variety of signature options, including one with tamarind barbecue, smoked portobello mushroom, and grilled onions.
