If it’s bike powered in Portland, it will probably do well. The Moberi food cart, known for its acai bowls and bicycle-power-blended smoothies, is opening its fourth location this Saturday, February 18. Moberi 4.0 will join the Tidbit food cart pod, located at SE Division and 28th, and if you show up between 2 and 4 p.m., you can score a free acai bowl.

In a press release, Moberi owner Ryan Carpenter says the free bowls are a way to let more people try the unique ingredients he uses, such as the high-end “super food” acai berry.

Interestingly, Moberi is moving away from pedal power at the SE Division spot. The release reads, “This location will occasionally have a bike blender, but the focus will be on making premium acai bowls and smoothies.”

Moberi established its first brick and mortar in May 2016, and it already has food carts at the airport and 1515 NW 23rd Ave. A fifth location is in the works, too, inside Portland Food Hall, expected to open spring 2017.
