At least 24 Portland cafes have joined the “Nationwide Coffee Fundraiser For The ACLU,” organized by Sprudge, a Portland-based coffee culture publication. The fundraiser runs today through Sunday, February 5.

Sprudge announced the fundraiser earlier this week, promising to match the first $500 raised by each of its 26 cafe partners. Now other groups have joined the cause to match funds, and Sprudge’s nationwide campaign currently includes more than 600 coffee shops.

In its announcement, Sprudge writes, “Sprudge is not a political publication. We did not endorse a 2016 Presidential Candidate, nor have we endorsed past candidates in elections in the United States or elsewhere.” Sprudge writes it would prefer to stick to coffee, but it believes “the current executive order banning refugees from the United States and immigration from seven majority Muslim nations is illegal, immoral, and fundamentally un-American.”

In Portland, participating cafes include:

Either/Or, Stumptown Coffee Roasters, Blue Kangaroo Coffee Roasters, First Cup Coffee House, Marigold Coffee, Groundwork Coffee, Rocking Frog Cafe, Heart Coffee Roasters, Barista, Roseline Coffee Roasters, Nossa Familia Coffee, Anna Bananas Cafe, Extracto Coffee Roasters, and Just Bob.
