A week after serving her last meal at her popular N Williams Avenue spot, Lincoln, chef Jenn Louis has opened Ray, and Israeli-inspired restaurant at 3808 N Williams Avenue.

According to a press release sent to media this morning, Ray will serve dishes like fried half-quails with pomegranate molasses, coffee-braised eggs with za’atar, tahini Caesar salads, braised lamb with rice and fries, schawarma lamburgers with harissa, and honey soft serve ice cream with chocolate tahini sauce.

Some of the dishes are inspired by Louis’ time spent cooking on a kibbutz in Arava.

The 70-seat space will also feature signature cocktail designed to match the food menu’s many flavors. There will be cocktails made with vodka, Kahlúa, and tahini; tequila and pomegranate; arak, orange and cherry; and an IPA shandy made with Old Tom Gin and IPA.

Ray will serve dinner from 5:30 to 9 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, and from 5:30 to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Happy hour will be offered from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Friday. Plans are also in place to roll out weekend brunch service, possibly as early as summer.
