The Northwest Industrial Area is quickly becoming a brewery destination

Sasquatch Brewing Company announced today by press release it would open its new 4,000-square-foot facility on April 21, with a grand opening event with all the appropriate revelry (complimentary barbecue, live bluegrass, etc), from 3 to 10 p.m. Located at 2531 NW 30 Ave., Sasquatch will set up shop near Portland Brewing Company's Taproom, with Lucky Lab’s Beer Hall and Breakside Brewery’s mammoth new brewery, taproom, and restaurant also nearby.

News of Sasquatch’s second location first dropped in May 2016, and the new facility includes a taproom with 24 taps that’ll be open to the public seven days a week. Those taps will pour a variety of beers and ciders, as well as local kegged wine. The brewery and taproom have 30-foot ceilings and, on the north wall, a mural by local Portland artist, Chris Bigalke. The space will also be available for private events.

With all the extra room, Sasquatch head brewer Mike Paladino says the location will add lagers and a barrel-aging program to the repertoire. The brewing company already makes hoppy IPAs, Belgians, and sours, and the original Hillsdale brewpub will continue to soldier on, but refocus on small experimental batches.
