Pioneer Courthouse Square regularly features two food carts for hungry visitors and locals, but come this fall, it’ll become a veritable food cart pod with a total of five food carts, the O reports. Mike Thelin, the Feast food festival co-founder, is consulting on the project, and his company Bolted Services also oversaw the development of the food operators inside of Pine Street Market, the O.G. Portland food hall.
The O reports the food cart pod will be located on The Square’s terrace and will feature the two food carts already onsite: Honkin' Huge Burritos and Philly's on the Phly. According to the Pioneer Courthouse Square website, the carts will operate year-round with “new infrastructure, like shared seating, rain cover, and more,” and The Square is currently seeking interested food cart owners. Applications are available on the website.
