Andy Ricker fires up the fryers at the first Westside location of his Pok Pok empire on April 17 at 5 p.m. Pok Pok NW is located at 1639 NW Marshall St. and serves the Vietnamese- and Thai-inspired plates Ricker is best known for, including one of Portland’s most iconic dishes Ike’s Vietnamese Fish Sauce Wings. But Ricker’s fourth local Pok Pok also brings some changes.
First and foremost, Pok Pok NW currently accepts reservations for smaller parties—including solo diners—which is a jaw dropper for anyone who’s stood outside Pok Pok SE Division for hours waiting to get a table.
And Pok Pok NW also features an almost entirely new lineup of appetizers, such as miang kham, a plate of flavorful ingredients for build-your-own betel-leaf wraps. A daily special will also focus on fish dishes.
Starting tonight, Pok Pok NW operates Monday through Friday, from 5 to 10 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday, from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Want a peek at how Pok Pok NW transformed The Bent Brick? Check out the Eater Inside.
