A.N.D. Cafe Moves Into Off the Griddle; Shutters East Burnside Location

There’s a new brunch option in FoPo

Vegan-cooking whizzes Ashley Arthur and Dan Harding are consolidating their two restaurants: Waffle and hash-focused breakfast spot A.N.D. Cafe will shutter on June 30 at 5420 E Burnside St., only to move in with new veggie burger spot Off the Griddle, located at 6526 SE Foster Rd., on July 6. “The plan is to keep both identities,” Arthur tells Eater, and most of the A.N.D. Cafe staff are making the move, too.

Here’s the takeaway: The 6526 SE Foster Rd. venue will play home to A.N.D. Cafe by day and Off the Griddle by night. You’ll still be able to order A.N.D.’s popular brunch plates — including its lineup of vegan waffles (also available gluten-free) — served daily from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Off the Griddle menu goes live daily starting at 4 p.m., with 1990s-themed cocktails and vegan appetizers and burgers.

Some changes are in store, too. Arthur and Harding say the larger kitchen will allow for more brunch specials and entrees, including a vegan, house-made chicken and waffles.
