This just in from the Merc: Top Chef season 12 winner Mei Lin and finalist Doug Adams are doing a collaboration dinner this Sunday, and tickets are available here until they sell out (like, yesterday). Adams is known for handily conquering the grill at Imperial, before leaving the restaurant in 2016 to open his own spot, Bullard, which is expected to open downtown inside of the forthcoming Woodlark hotel in 2018.
Sunday’s dinner costs $125 (includes six courses, wine, and gratuity) and will be held in the space formerly home to Hamlet, at 232 NW 12th Ave. The meal runs from 7 to 10 p.m., and the long list of dishes includes a Smoked Pork Ssam main course and lemon verbena ice cream with rhubarb jam, Fraises de Bois, and smoked vanilla oil.
