After permitting delays, Buckman Public House tells Eater it’s ready to turn on the burners tonight and tomorrow for dinner, from 5 to 10 p.m. Then, starting Saturday, June 24, the 300-seat restaurant will also be open for lunch, and moving forward, it’ll operate daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Food details are still few and far between, but the chef duo in the kitchen comes with experience: Executive chef Jeff Emerson has cooked at Tucci, Cafe Castagna, Ava Gene’s, and Alba Osteria, and chef de cuisine Ian Wilson was the former chef-owner of much-missed Fenrir.
A latest look at Buckman Public House’s Instagram shows steaks, fried chicken, and veggie-heavy sides. Hopefully, the kitchen will come through with some of the promised high school cafeteria-inspired dishes during happy hour, too.
