Italian restaurant Nicoletta & Beppe’s officially opens tomorrow in the Pearl District at 1230 NW Hoyt Street. The eatery—an offshoot of Lake Oswego’s Nicoletta’s Table—will be the third consecutive Italian spot to occupy the space. Both Fratelli and Bellino were the space’s previous tenants.
“We believe in becoming part of the tapestry of the community,” says N&B owner Shari Newman. “We believe in treating everyone as if they are coming to dinner at Nicoletta’s table where only the freshest in-season ingredients are used and meals prepared with passion.”
Once the doors to the 50-seat space open for good, expect pasta dishes like lasagna (vegetarian or sausage), spaghetti carbonara, and fresh fettuccine with pan seared sea scallops, Brussels sprouts, prosciutto, and fresh Roma tomatoes, as well as other dishes like veal parmesan, mini meatballs with polenta fries, bone-in lamb chops, a quartet of pizzas, and a calzone.
Drinks include beer, plenty of red wine and cocktails like Aperol spritzers, palomas, and Manhattans.
Chef Victor Lopez will run the kitchen, aided by sous Michael Barefoot.
