Level Beer—the brewing operation from Bailey’s Taproom’s Geoff Phillips, and partners Jason Barbee and Shane Watterson—should be brewing its first on-site beers by week’s end at their new microbrewery out near the airpot.
Since last weekend, the brewery and taproom—which occupies a produce spot formerly called The Barn on a two-acre property—has been quietly open, pouring collaborative beers from Zoiglhaus, The Commons, Ex Novo and Breakside, which drinkers can enjoy in the small tasting room or the expansive patio house in the Barn’s old greenhouse. All in all, expect 10 to 15 house beers, a pair of guest ciders, two tap wines, and a kombucha.
Their new brewery also plans on feeding its hungry beer drinkers by contracting a trio of food carts, including a burger and fries cart called Bam Pow Burgers, courtesy of Nepo 42’s Matthew Firosz, which should start firing up the griddles around July 25.
