John Gorham and Toro Bravo Inc. are headed to wine country to open Third N Tasty, a new restaurant modeled after the group’s pioneering brunch spot Tasty N Sons and downtown steakhouse Tasty N Alder. According to a press release, Third N Tasty is slated to open in spring 2018 inside the forthcoming Atticus Hotel in downtown McMinnville.
A quaint wine country town through and through, McMinnville already offers the widest selection of dining options in Willamette Valley, so Gorham’s move seems like a natural fit. Merging the Tasty N Sons and Tasty N Alder menus, Third N Tasty will come with a hefty wine list and a Josper Oven for charcoal-broiled steaks. Third N Tasty will also furnish the hotel’s in-room dining, as well as drink service in the hotel lobby.
“With Tasty N Alder, we have influences of steakhouses from around the world,” says Gorham in the press release, “and with the Third N Tasty dinner concept we want to focus on the cuisines of the great wine regions of the world.”
2017 has already been a big year for Gorham and the Toro Bravo Inc. restaurant group. It opened Southern-inspired Bless Your Heart Burgers in Pine Street Market, and Gorham penned his second cookbook, Hello! My Name is Tasty, which comes out this August (get a preview here).
