Meet Revolution Hall’s Epic Rooftop Patio

It’s large and in charge

Even if a new and noteworthy patio seems to open every week this summer, Revolution Hall’s large and in charge rooftop deck is one for the books: Sitting atop the old Washington High School in the Buckman neighborhood, it comes with full, unblemished views of the city all the way to the West Hills, as well as a full bar and a 150-person capacity.

The Roof Deck quietly opened in June, and it was previously used exclusively as a Revolution Hall private events space for concerts, weddings, and other festivities. When Marthas Cafe opened inside the Washington High School in September 2015, an employee told Eater that epic rooftop deck could open to the public, and it’s welcomed news the big day’s here.

Roof Deck’s normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 5 p.m. to close, and Saturday and Sunday, from 1 p.m. to close. Revolution Hall will continue to rent the space out for private events, as well as host bands as part of a summer concert series at Roof Deck. And to make sure you won’t find the Roof Deck closed for a buyout — or crappy weather or something — make sure to check its Facebook page for the current details.

With Roof Deck open, the old high school is now home to several drinking and dining options: Marthas Cafe, Roof Deck, and the Buckman Public House.
