Las Vegas-based Holsteins entered the Portland burger, craft beer, and ice cream games on May 1, 2017, and it seems it has shuttered before its first anniversary on January 28, 2018. Several reports came through the tipline that the 65-seat venue in the Pearl District shuttered around 8 p.m. on Sunday.

A quick Google search says the Portland location of Holsteins is “Permanently closed,” and all of the social media accounts are deleted. A phone call to the 1139 NW Couch St. restaurant goes to a voicemail stating the number is no longer in service.

Back in May, founder of Holsteins Billy Richardson told Eater that, “We were drawn to Portland because of the vibrant food and beer scene, two crucial elements of the Holsteins concept. You can’t beat the Portland culture, and we’re excited to bring our version of ‘beer and burger heaven’ to the community.”

Holsteins currently has three stars on Yelp.
