Pre-Paid Reservations Hit Portland

Plus a winemakers dinner

Farm Spirit

— New-ish reservation system Tock comes to Portland by way of chef Aaron Adams at Farm Spirit. Tock allows patrons to pay up front (sort of like an event ticket), so everything is taken care of once they arrive to the restaurant. Tock has been spreading across the country since its release in 2015. [EaterWire]

— Suit up (or not) for the Winemaker Dinner, presented by the Classic Wines Auction, starting on February 20. Multi-course meals are offered from local chefs which “... feature an intimate experience ... delightfully curated wine pairings.” Dinners range from $75 to $150 and are listed online. [EaterWire]

— Chef Anh Luu of Tapalaya recently appeared on Food Network’s The Grill Dads with her phorrito. The Asian/Cajun restaurant will host a phorrito pop-up in honor of the show on Wednesday, February 21, and Wednesday, February 28. Stop by between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. to sample everything found in a bowl of pho in a tortilla. [EaterWire]
